Rush, Rush, Rush.... Wait some more!

This past week has been a whirlwind, starting with getting my "surprise" referral last Friday, and then going to the airport that same afternoon to pick up my friend and colleague, Lynn. We had planned a ski trip to Lake Tahoe more than three months prior. It was meant to be a celebration for finishing school and ended up being both a celebration of getting my masters as well as the long awaited arrival of the announcement of my Dear Butterfly! Danielle will be home soon, yahoooo!

Lynn has been fantastic this past week with so much going on with me and so many emotions and excitement for me to talk about. Doug came up too for a couple days, which was super fun to all ski together on Monday. We had some work to do mid week, but since it was snowy and windy, it worked out perfectly... also for me to go to the business center and get all my travel packet documents printed out.

In between skiing, I've been working through hoards of new paperwork and trying to get previous paperwork together as well as connect with Cheryl in getting her pieces done. Couldn't have done any of this without email and cell phones! We've come across one small hitch in getting a final dr. "approval" for C to travel, since it states immunizations must be current, but it's very confusing since vaccines are not legally required for China, so we need to get that ironed out this next week. So grateful C is willing to work through this and I'm confident we'll get it sorted.

I need to rush to get it all notarized, and then into FedEx along with applying for our Visa's, then we wait for them to go through it, approve it and apply for a Consulate appt... then once we get that date, we will know our exact travel dates. They say we may only get a 7-10 days notice!! What?!? I didn't realize it would really be that close, so I have to get on the ball to get so many things done while waiting.. all the time wishing it would come sooner.

I'm going to need a lot of patience from my family and friends as this phase of the waiting is sure to be difficult. They are all extremely wonderful and I am VERY grateful for each and every one of them!!
